STAFF PHOTOS-WAYNE GAYLORD •1? C J . t h SERVICE NEWS Beat High College Cost In Air Force By the end of the 1970's, only about two out of ten jobs will require a four-year college degree. Instead, most em ployment opportunities will require specialized oc cupational education. And the job-seeker with the best prospects will be the one who brings to the labor market a combination of career-relevant education and as much ex perience as possible. Add to this a sound academic background in general education such as mathematics, science, and English, and you have built-in upward job mobility. In short, you have the potential for promotion to a supervisory position. Can't swing the expense of college for one reason or another? The United States Air Force has the answer to the problem? It's the Community college of the Air Force, an accredited educational in stitution offering an Associate in Applied science degree to enlisted Air Force personnel. Through the Community college of the Air Force, one can work toward a degree, combine it with off-duty education that the Air force pays as much as 75 percent of costs through the Tuition Assistance program and finish a degree under the Veterans Education Assistance program (VEAP). Under the VEAP Program, the Air Force will match savings dollars 2 for 1 up to as much as $8,100 in an educational fund. Do all this, and educational expenses are DAILY DINNER \ & SPECIALS! -fe SERVED WITH A COMPLEMENTARY GLASS OF WINE SUNDAY- TUESDAY- WEDNESDAY- THURSDAY- SATURDAY- Chicken 'n Dumplings Breast of Chicken ala Josh BBQ Ribs Mom's Pot Roast Beer Batter Dipped Lobsters sz z z RESTAUR; •AND! On the 21st summer arrives, to extend into late September. The brightness of June is special. New leaves and growth are fresher than at any other time of year. Because these are the first long, hot, blue-sky days the contrast is greater than later in the summer. June is the first summer month free of school for millions of youngsters and thus has a special exhilaration. Because so many are married, it has special hope and idealism. June offers the first of the new crop of many vegetables and fruits. And it may not be mere fancy when writers claim nothing is so rare or splendid as a night in June. June nights (and days)come but once a year; go outside and enjoy them!
