THE CITY OF McHENRY WHEREAS. certain territories have been recently annexed to the City of McHenry, Illinois; and WHEREAS, certain statutory requirements in regard to equal apportionment of representation through the application of the "one man, one vote" doctrine; and WHEREAS, such acquisition of territory and equitable reapportionment requires the locating of all corporate lands within legally conforming ward lines as established by the City Council of the City of McHenry, Illinois; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF McHENRY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS: - ^ SECTION 1. That the Ciiy is hereby divided into four (4) • wards, the boundaries of which are divided as follows: • FIRST WARD All that territory and area within the corporate limits of the City of McHenry described as follows, to wit: Beginning at the in­ tersection of the center line of the Chicago & North Western Railroad's Right of-Way and the center Tine of John Street, thence Southeasterly along the center lineftf John Street to the Northerly line of Riverstream Subdivision, being a Subdivision of part of Sections 35 and 36, Township 45 North Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian; thence Nor theasterly along the Nor­ therly line of Riverstream Subdivision aforesaid to the Westerly shore line of the Fox River; thence Southeasterly along said Westerly shore line of the Fox River to the Southeasterly corner of Lot 43 in Owen. Stenger & Allen's First Addition to McHenry. being a Sub­ division of part of Sections 35 and :$6, Township and Range aforesaid; thence along the Southerly line of I»t 43 aforesaid to the Northeasterly corner of Lot 44 in the Subdivision aforesaid; thence along the South City limit line to the intersection of said South City limit line and the center line of the Chicago & North Western Railroad Right-of-Way, thence Northerly along the center line of said Chicago & North Western Railroad Right-of- Way to the place of beginning SECOND WARD All that territory and area within the corporate limits of the City of McHenry described as follows, to wit Beginning at the - in­ tersection of the center line of Crystal Lake Road and the North Line of Illinois State Route 120; thence Westerly alone the North line of said Illinois State Route 12Q to the West City limit line on Illinois State Route 120; thence along the West City limit line and South City limit line to the center line of Crystal Lake Road; thence Northerly along the center line of the said Crystal Lake Road to the place of beginning.
