Nothing tastes better when it's cold outside, nothing satisfies more on a miserable day. And, good, homemade soup doesn't require special purchases or hours of preparation. In fact, one of the best soups can be made in less than 15 minutes using ingredients found in most pantries and freezers. Danish-Style Cauliflower Cheese soup is a delicious warming blend of Cheddar cheese, chicken broth, milk and cauliflower laced with bits of onion and a hint of sherry. Convenience foods such as canned chicken broth and frozen cauliflower keep costs down and preparation time at a minimum without sacrificing flavor quality. Frozen cauliflower is picked and frozen at its flavor peak. And, because it's already washed and trimmed, all you have to do is thaw, slice and add it to your pot of bubbling soup. In addition to being absolutely delicious, this soup also is highly nutritious. Cauliflower is an excellent source of Vitamin C, supply ing 80 percent of the recommended daily allowance of this vital nutrient. The cheese and milk supply high quality protein as well as Vitamins A, Bi (riboflavin), niacin, Vitamin D and calcium. Prepare Danish-Style Cauliflower Cheese Soup anytime you get the yen for something hot and soothing.
