Only one victim's injuries warranted hospitalization for several days. Helmar C. Patterson. 4514 Garden Quarter, was hurt when squeezed between the rear of a tractor trailer and a door at an unloading dock. Truck driver Kenneth J. Krall, Route 4, Mauston, Wis , told police that he was being directed into position for loading at the dock door of a building at 3923 West avenue He saw the weather flap which Patterson had been holding suddenly drop and he stopped and then someone yelled for him to pull out. He did and then found Patterson lying on the floor after apparently being squeezed between the trailer and the door The McHenry Rescue unit rushed Patterson to the McHenry hospital, where he was admitted for several days and then released, hospital authorities said On Nov 24, several injuries were reported in a collision between two cars at the in­ tersection of Green and Pearl streets. Emily lane, told police that she stopped at the intersection to let a westbound car pass, and as she started south through the intersection, the northbound Uttich vehicle turned left in front of her. and they collided. Rogers, said his car blew out a tire, causing it to swerve left and hit a guard rail over Boone creek at Oakwood drive No injuries or tickets were reported Damages were estimated as $1,000 to the car and $300 to the guard rail. Jeffrey Felske, 4616 Bonner drive, McHenry, was shaken up when his car hit a tree in the 600 block of Lillian drive at 12:56 am Nov. 25. according to McHenry police. The rescue squad transported him to the McHenry hospital for treat­ ment and police issued him a ticket for unsafe equipment. Felske said that he was driving eastbound and tried to slow for the curve. ,When his brakes didn't work he panicked and went off the road, where his car hit a tree, Felske explained. Another accident on Lillian street was attributed to ice on the road Wendy J. Adams. 609 W Lincoln, said she was driving east and at the curve started to slide. Her vehicle hit the rear of a pickup truck driven by William H Moll, 3907 High street. Damage to each vehicle was estmated at over $200, but no injuries were reported Two accidents were reported on Green street Nov. 27. At 6:56 a m a car driven by Kate Aleksich, 108 N. Green, was reported to have slid off the road at 303 N. Green and hit a mailbox and post. She said she heard something hit the car while she was driving and she lost control, her wheels spun and the car skidded Another accident was reported on Green at 9:30 a m at the intersection of Elm. Jane M Kraus, Woodstock, said she was westbound on Elm street, signaling for a left turn onto Green when" she saw a car driven by Nick P Miller. 1513 N. Draper, headed east and also signaling for a left turn. She said she turned and he didn't and they collided. Miller claimed the other car turned left in front of him. Damage to each vehicle was estimated at over $150.
