"Our troopers are likely to be stopping motorists to inform them of the error though," Baird said. Report Waste Hauling Rules The Illinois Environmental Protection agency has received word that its proposed special waste hauling regulations were approved for publication by the Illinois Pollution Control board. For the next sixty days, the Illinois Pollution Control board will accept, in writing, questions or comments on this matter. "Special waste" as defined in the regulations in­ cludes pollution control waste, any industrial , waste or hazardous waste. These new waste hauling regulations require a per­ mitting system for all haulers of special waste? a manifest program and a record keeping and reporting requirement which will ensure "cradle to grave" control of all special wastes generated by some 20,000 manufacturers that are sources of industrial waste in Illinois. Chapter 9, special waste hauling regulations, as ap­ proved for publication by the Pollution Control board, will not be finalized until the end of the 60-day public comment period.
