Eight acts, reduced to seven at showtime, entertained children and adults alike with their varied talents. After balloting by the audience, it was found that all seven acts had won prizes, with Joey Raycraft and Tara Parks, a magic act, taking home first prize. Joey and Tara were assisted, very ably, by Midget the dog After the entertainment. Santa Claus arrived, and listened to all the children's requests for Christmas Each child received a present from' Santa, and refreshments were served by the Beach Gals. - BENEFIT On Jan 14. a very special event will be taking place in our area "Rescue 50", a fund- raising snowmobile marathon, will be happening Proceeds will be donated to the two area rescue squads. McHenry and Johnsburg All know what a fine job these rescue squads do. and how fortunate we are to have them close at hand; so let's show them how much we care The way this marathon is going to work is by people pledging a certain amount to one of the riders involved Jim Wright, last year's high money maker. was the man who made me aware of this marathon If you do not have a person to. whom you can pledge your dollars, you can Stuff them in Jim's pledge can. which is at McCullom Lake grocery SNOWMOBILES While on the subject of snowmobiles, some rules should be mentioned about snowmobile tracks through many yards in this village, which means that someone has driven' a snowmobile on someone else's property. On nights when snow falls, and every night after, until the snow is gone, snowmobiiers are zooming up and down village streets. This is against the law. It is also very dangerous If you want to ride your snowmobile other than in your own yard, join one of the local snowmobile clubs They have paths all over the place that you can ride on to your heart's content.
