The goblins and witches will be around to welcome area pre-school and grade school children, ac­ companied by an adult. Games, pirate's cove, the walking witch, are a few of the activities. They are also planning to have a Shop & Share fund raising program on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov. 17, 18 and 19. Five percent of the total pur­ chases, excluding tax, will be donated to them to help defray the deficit on the new roof. BOOSTER CLUB The Athletic Booster club meeting will be held Thursday, Oct. 30, 7:30 p.m., at the high school. Hope to see many of you, especially those new to Johnsburg. Plans are being organized for the basketball season. For any information call Mrs. Marilyn or George Guetzloff. Parents of new students are especially in­ vited. HIGH SCHOOLPLAY The first presentation for the high school 1980-81 theatre season, will be Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 7 and 8 at 8 p.m.; and Nov. 9 at 4 p.m. "Black Comedy", taking place during a power failure, is performed without in­ termission. "Home at Six" is a short play about a seemingly ordinary family. These should be enjoyable to watch - so mark your calendar now for these dates. The next presentation will be an evening of one-act plays, on Friday, Jan. 9, so mark your 1981 calendar for this date. HIGHSCHOOL FOOTBALL On Oct. 31, the season's last game, will be played at Marengo, 8 p.m. That leaves only the finals to be played. We want to congratulate our team for a good season and pray they may do well in the finals. FASHION SHOW The Junior class will present a fashion show on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 7:30 p.m., in the high school "Theatre in the Round," with McHenry stores par­ ticipating. This is to benefit the Junior-Senior prom. The Junior class will have tickets, and they will also be available at the door. Keep this date open. Coffee and dessert will be served and a cookbook, "Grandma's Quick and Easy Main Dish Recipes" will be available at a reasonable price. ST JOHN'S BAZAAR ...Saturday, Nov. 8, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, after all Masses, in St. John's school. Lunch will be served by the N.C.S.F., St. Agatha Court 777. Some lovely handmade articles have come in and there will be items of in­ terest to everyone. If you can spare a few hours to work on one of the booths a day or two, please call Mrs. G.J. (Marie) Klein. If you will bake or have items to donate, please call Mrs. Edw. (Mary) Gun­ derson. N.C.S.F. St. Agatha Court 777 will meet Monday, Nov. 10 (instead of the seventeenth), in conjunction with the Juniors group, at the Johnsburg Community club, 6:15 p.m. Mass will be of­ fered for all deceased Forester members, after which each group will hold their regular meeting. Luncheon will be served by the court Saturday, Nov. 8, at St. John's Bazaar, in St. John's school. Cakes will be needed. For more in­ formation, call Mrs. Alfred (Marie) Oeffling. A Christmas party is planned for Dec. 10. PAPER DRIVE A truck will be on St. John's school grounds, Sunday, Nov. 2, to pick up newspapers. EXHIBITION EXHIBITOR Tim Watkins of McHenry, will be an exhibitor at the 1980 North American In­ ternational Livestock ex­ position, according to Harold Workman, manager of the exposition. Workman said that Tim has entered four head of Corridale for competition at the North American International, an event which will take place Nov. 8-22 in Louisville, Ky.
