Senior Citizens Combine Cards With Business ^ The next meeting of the Mc- Henrv Senior Citizens club will be on Monday evening, July 28 at 7:30 p.m. at the East cam­ pus cafeteria. Following the business meet- - ing, there will be a free card party for members, with table prizes awarded to the winners at each table. The art class is growing and every Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. members meet at the Mc- Henry dam for outdoor sketch­ ing and drawing. In case of rain, they meet on Thursday af­ ternoon instead. The Black Watch Players is the college theatre organization and the play is produced and directed by James G. Kenna, who is the speech and drama instructor and head of the Humanities department. Elwood P. Dowd, the taci­ turn, pleasant, almost insep­ arable companion of the invis­ ible Harvey, is played by Dan Wakefield, a student at MCC, who has acted for the Toronto Actors Studio, acted and di­ rected for the Hull House thea­ tre in Chicago. Mr. Wakefield has had two off-broadway type plays produced in Chicago and Los Angeles. He is assistant director for Harvey, and lives in McHenry with his wife Nan­ cy, who is stage manager. Leona Leon, a Dean's list student with honors at MCC, plays Elwood's sister, Veta Louise. Mrs. Leon has worked with children's theatre, as well as in the American Dame at the college. Elwood*s niece, Myrtle Mae, who lives with her mother Veta and Elwood, is played by Dei­ dre Kelley, a graduate of MCC, who has acted in both previous college productions. Dennis Bruzas, an MCC stu­ dent from McHenry, makes his theatrical debut as Dr. Lyman Sanderson, the young psychia­ trist who mistakenly admits the wrong person as a psychiatric patient. Dr. Sanderson's nurse and object of romantic interest, Miss Kelly, is played by Mar­ cia Fries, a resident of Wood­ stock attending summer classes at MCC until the fall, when she will re-roll at Illinois State un­ iversity. V--^ Dr. Chumley, the head of the sanitarium, who has a special interest in Harvey, is played by Wesley Vos, who is a Doc­ tor in Musicology and has per­ formed widely at George Wash­ ington university in St. Louis. Judge Omar Gaffney, old fam­ ily friend and lawyer for El­ wood and Veta is played by Nick Baldasano. Mr. Baldasano is an MCC student who has worked as a disk Jockey for the Chris­ tian Brothers college in Mem­ phis, Tenn. Also featured in the cast of "Harvey" are Beverly Morgan, Jackie Dinkelacker, Nancy Wakefield, John Goettsche and Jim McWilliams.
