NEW TRIER IS SECOND IN TRIANGULAR MEET New Trier high school finished second in the triangular track meet with Thorn- ton and Riverside held on the local track Saturday morning. Thornton won the senior division with 58 points to New Trier's 57, while Riverside trailed along with 16. In the Junior meet, Thornton had 58 3/5, New Trier 40 1/5, and Riv- erside was a poor third with only 6 1/5. Thornton won both meets by virtue of their great strength in the field events, in which New Trier has not had much practice. Mills of New Trier easily won the mile, finishing 40 yards in front with- out extending himself. Sanders won the 880 from Teeple of Thornten, who had beaten him in one of the indoor meets. Mills showed his versatility by placing third in this event. Phil Brown won the quarter in 56 seconds, his best time of the year. San- ders fought his way to third place, which is remarkable considering that he had already won the half. Oak Park Man Buys C. H. Carlstrand Home Oliver D. Johantgen of Oak Park has purchased the Charles H. Carl- strand home at 631 Garland avenue i will occupy the property on April 27. The Carlstrands will be at the Kenil- worth Inn until June 15, after which date they will take a summer home at Round Lake. The family will return to Winnetka in the autumn. Theatre Guild Presents Play in Chicago Theatre The North Shore Theatre Guild will present "Fashion" at the Eighth Street theatre in Chicago Tuesday evening, May 5, under the auspices of the Drama League of America.
