" Tey WINNETKA WEEKLY TALK, SATURDAY, JUNE 20, 1925 'AIR MAIL' NEXT MATZ HALL FILM Constance Talmadge Also on Way to Village BY H. A. C. With the coming week at the Com- munity House, we have two great pic- tures. The first is a wonder-thriller, Irvin Willat's "The Air Mail", coming Tuesday, June 23. The following Fri- day, June 26, Constance Talmadge ap- pears in the big comedy, "Learning to Love." This also brings with it, an Our Gang comedy, showing "Buccan- eers." "The Air Mail" is the miracle melo- drama of 1925! It is a thrilling story built around the U. S. Government Air Service and offers a remarkable con- trast of the mail service 75 pears ago and the service of today. Warner Bax- ter, Billie Dove, Mary Brian, and Doug- las Fairbanks, Jr., are featured in the cast. It is a story of a crooked pilot who is reformed by living up to the code of the air service. Robber bands plot to kill the pilot whom they believe to be double-crossing them. There is an exciting air battle in which the hero's plane is crippled, but the bravery of a small lad saves the mail in a para- chute jump. The mail finally goes through successfully and the pilot wins the girl of the desert who has been his inspiration. "Learning To Love" is the sparkling comedy coming to Community House next Friday. "The Educational Screen" says, "Constance Talmadge, engaged to three men and in love with a fourth, is at her amusing best in this cheerful tale of a girl who fell in and out of love as easily as she breathed. Antonio Moreno plays handsomely the stern guardian who finally marries the hero- ine." It is decidedly Miss Talmadge's picture. She carries the comedy clear to the end with great delicacy." Local Nine Meets Fast Chicago Outfit Sunday Winnetka's baseball nine nosed out the Waukegan colored players at Play- field Sunday in a slugging duel, 14 to 12. Heavy stick work by both teams featured the afternoon's play, Smith of the locals leading the noise-making with a four base clout, triple and single.
