oY WINNETKA WEEKLY TALK, SATURDAY, JULY 11, 1925 Manitowoc. They are making the Dedicate Butler Memorial VILLAGE HAS BARGAIN FOR BUSY HOUSEWIVES Monday will be Electric Cooker day at the Winnetka Village hall, when 100 Excell Electric cookers co on sale at near to wholesale prices to help Winnetka housewives minimize the task of summer meal-getting. The cookers are novel in construc- tion, using both the principle of old- fashioned fireless cooker and the most recent developments of electrical heat- ing. The combination of the two prin- ciples is said to result in extreme econ- omy. The apparatus is so made that it can be attached to any lamp socket and three or more dishes cooked in it at once. There are no stones to heat, no watching required, nor basting. It will be found especially good for picnics. Mrs. Housewife simply puts the dinner into the cooker, turns on the heat, then loads all into the auto and that's all there is to that! A piping hot dinner will be ready for big outdoor appetites. Its size is convenient, being no larger than a hat box and it is neat in appear- ance. Unlike the average stove, it does not heat up the room in which it is used, all the heat being retained to cook the food. The village, in undertaking the sale of these cookers, believes that both the individual citizens and the village will be benefited. Profit is not the object of the sale. It will foster methods by which the citizens can afford to take greater advantage of the municipally- owned electric plant besides moderniz- ing many homes. Mrs. Charles 1. Byron entertained several of her sorority sisters from the Wisconsin chapter of Alpha Phi at luncheon at her home, 768 Foxdale avenue, Wednesday. 65 FLOOR 00 $ == POLISHING $ mmo OUTFIT It's the new; easy way to have beautiful waxed floors and linoleum.
