AN ARGENTINIAN Helena d'Algv, who plays the part of Sephora in "Coniessions of a Queen," Victor Seastrom's latest production for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, is a native of the Argentine. She went upon the stage in Rio de Janeiro and came to the United States with a contract to dance in New York. But instead, a motion picture producer saw her and cast her opposite Rudolph Valentino in "The Sainted Devil." She was then put under contract by Metro-Goldwyn- Mayer, her first part being that in the Seastrom production. SOME FINE SETTINGS Some of the most beautiful settings ever seen on the screen are shown in the Victor Seastrom production, "Con- fessions of a Queen." Cedric Gibbons, art director at the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer studios, wheie all the Seastrom productions are made, called in as an adviser a man who long lived in European court circles. Di- rector Seastrom, tco, being well ac- quainted with the ways and manners of nobility, was a great aid in design- ing and decorating the sets. Alfred.
