Kentucky License Law Now Applies in All Counties Extension of the real estate license law of Kentucky to apply to all coun- ties of the state will be asked of the coming legislature by the Kentucky Real Estate association. The present law applies only to cities of the first and second class. The association, in resolutions adopt- ed at its annual convention just closed, urges the adoption of real estate edu- cational courses in the colleges and universities of Kentucky, and pledges 1%. wo work for the attraction to the swiul of farmers who have made a specialty of diversified farming. W. G. Stacey Reports Active Vacant Market W. G. Stacey and company report an active market in vacant properties during the past few days. According to Mr. Stacey this demand is coming from those planning to build homes for themselves, there being practically no purely speculative buying. This com- pany recently sold the corner of Sher- idan road and Forest avenue, the southwest corner of Maple avenue and Fourth street "and the northeast cor- ner of Maple avenue and 15th street. R. H. Gore Purchases Site for $60,000 Home R. H. Gore, of the Gore, Fitzmaurice company of Chicago, is named as the purchaser of an attractive Riparian lot in South Kenilworth this week. It 1s reported that he has plans drawn for the erection of a $60,000 residence on his new property. The Wilmette office of Hill and Stone were brokers for the transfer. Charles W. Reasner of Winnetka is the former owner of the property. A number of little friends of Nancy Wolcott, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wolcott of 932 Euclid avenue, were her guests last Saturday at a party given to celebrate her seventh birthday. --O-- Mrs. A. J. Balaban of Euclid avenue, was hostess to 40 little folks from the Chicago Commons yesterday at a pic- nic and beach party at the beach park. ---- Mrs. John Weinstock, 1005 Green- wood avenue, entertained 20 friends at luncheon at her home last week Friday. Stults Realty Company Sells Choice Properties The Linden avenue (Wilmette) of- fice of the E. E. Stults Realty com- pany reports the sale of two choice properties during the past week, one at 527 Linden avenue, the other at 1306 Gregory avenue, Wilmette. Hans N. Gantzel is given as the pur- chaser of the Guido Leuthesser resi- dence at 527 Linden avenue. The Gantzells have been residing at the If North Shore hotel, Evanston, during the past few weeks. Mr. Gantzel is superintendent of motor equipment for the Bell Telephone company in - this territory. The Leuthessers are expecting to make their future home in Florida. The Dutch colonial residence of J. H. Baker at 1306 Gregory avenue, Wilmette, was sold last week to Wal- ter H. Williams who is associated with the Squire Dingee company in charge of their preserving department. Mr. Williams is to have possession Sep- tember 15. At present he lives in Ev- anston but will move to Wilmette in the early fall. Mr. Baker, who motored to Phila- delphia recently, is with the R. J. Mc- Creary Lumber company and is to be their Philadelphia manager. R. M. Johnston Opens New Evanston Offices R. M. Johnston company, local real estate brokers, announce the opening of a new office at 2547 Prairie avenue, Evanston. R. R. Jeness will be in charge of the new office. He was formerly in the Wilmette office of the company, where he has been for the past two years. Prior to his joining the firm, he had been with A. W. Shaw and company, publishers of "System." The new office will do a general real estate and insurance business, special- izing in north Evanston property. The remarkable development of that sec- tion attracted the attention of the Johnston company some time ago and they believe that it has a real future. Extension of the present street car line westward and establishment of new bus routes which are now known to be contemplated are expected to boom the teritory further. Sell 4 Large Homesites in Indian Hill Section Four sales of large homesites, all in the vicinity of Indian Hill Golf club, Winnetka, have been closed by Mec- Guire and Orr, north shore brokers, recently. Charles D. Boyle's two lots facing the golf course have been sold to Anna Boal Wicks and Hallett W. Thorne. Robert H. Andrews purchased the one and one-half acres of Mr. Marshall Forest adjoining those of Mr. Boyle. William Ogden Coleman has pur- chased from Ralph . M. Gately and Thomas S. Bulger two acres near Hill road in the same neighborhood. The total consideration in the four sales exceeded $100,000 and each was a cash sale. SELL $150,000 RESIDENCE The R. C. IIL Real Estate Board Lays Plans for Fall Program The board of governors of the North Shore Real Estate board held an im- portant meeting Friday evening, July 31, at the Lake Shore Terrace. At this meeting, details of which will not be divulged until the next meeting of the entire membership, plans were made for the beginning of activities in the fall and for the winter season. Al- though it has been the custom of the board to suspend activities during the summer months, this has not been done this year. Meetings are not held at regular intervals, but are to be ar- ranged, upon call of the membership, whenever the need arises or they find it most convenient. McGuire and Orr Sell Kenilworth Home Sites McGuire and Orr report five sales of Kenilworth properties during the past few weeks, from their Wilmette office. William H. Ulrey of Chicago is named as the purchaser of Lot 35, block 30, Kenilworth. The property is at Oxford and Essex road. O. B. Conklin, of Chicago, purchased lot 2 on Kenilworth beach. F. J.
