More recently he had been living with his daughters in this vicinity. , Mr. Carter is survived by his widow and four daughters, all residing in Chicago. Funeral services were private from the residence of his daughter, Mrs. IL. E. Lindsay, 7514 N. Robey street, Chi- cago. Arrest Edwin Udell as Traffic Law-Breaker Edwin Udell, son of B. B. Udell, 302 Park avenue, was arrested Sunday, August 23, by the Chicago police on complaint of T. A. Weed, a motorist, who charged Udell with "cutting off" two machines in Sheridan road traffic in Rogers Park causing an accident, leaving the scene of the accident with- out stopping. He was released on $100 cash bond. Another complaint, charging Udell with traveling at the rate of 35 miles an hour in connection with the inci- dent cited by Weed, was signed before the Sheffield avenue police court by Municipal Judge Walker. : . Udell, at a hearing Thursday morn- Ing, insisted upon a jury trial and was placed under $3,500 bonds covering the two charges. The bonds were signed by Malcolm McKerchar, an attorney, according to the Sheffield avenue police. The defendant will appear for trial early next week, it was expected. Her bouquet was of bride's roses and lilies-of-the-valley. Her matron of honor, Mrs. Nathaniel James of Wilmette, wore a chiffon frock of light green, and her brides- maids were attired in gowns of the same material in pastel shades.
