38 WINNETKA TALK October 17, 1925 DISCUSS SCHOOL WORK New Trier Parent-Teacher Association Announces Program for Present School Year. Parents of New Trier high school students who are members of the Parent-Teacher association will take a more active part in the school affairs this fall than ever before, it was said by school authorities. The schedule for future meetings has been announced as follows: November 6-- Parents of all stu- dents in attendance of their children's classes, going through the entire day's program on a shortened period basis. January 23 -- Parents and teachers of Juniors and Seniors. April 16--Parents of all New Trier students. There is also a plan for a special meeting for mothers, sponsored by the Girl's club, and one for fathers which the Hi-Y will sponsor. At the meeting on October 16, Sen- iors and Juniors will be hosts to the parents of the freshmen and sopho- mores. "The idea is to make our meetings as worthwhile as possible, keeping the entertainment features down to the minimum and emphasizing the neces- sity of practical and understanding contacts between the home and the school," says Principal Frederick E. Clerk. The officers af the association for the current year are as follows: President, Mr. J. K. Farley, Jr., of Kenilworth; vice-president, Mrs. John Olmsted of Hubbard Woods; secretary, Mrs. S. H. Moore of Wilmette; senior chair- man, Mrs. L. Emrich, of Wil- mette; junior chairman, Mrs. W. J. McAllen of Glencoe; sophomore chair- man, Mrs. E. A. Anderson of Win- netka. Mr. and Mrs. J. M. The first meeting of the club was held Monday afternoon, October 35, with Miss Louise Mitchell, president, presiding. Among those present who were formerly north shore girls, were Mrs. T. Philip Swift, Mrs. Francis Blossom, Mrs. Robert S. Hotz, former president, and Miss Dorothy Curtis. Percy deCoster, who has written the music and words for "The Nine O'clock Revue," to be presented November 6 and 7, was present at the meeting and played the musical score for the mem- bers. Rehearsals have begun, and will continue almost daily, it is stated. Mr. and Mrs. Glen C.
