14 WINNETKA TALK November 21, 1925° 1926 License Blanks Will Be Supplied by Illinois Auto Club Applications for 1926 automobile licenses have been received by P. F. Lowder, district manager of the Illi- nois Automobile club, and are avail- able at the club headquarters at 1722 Sherman avenue, Evanston. The automobile club will not only supply the blanks, Mr. Lowder says, but will fill them out for the motorist. Notary service will be furnished at the club headquarters without charge. "We have received a supply of all the forms which are to be used in making application for 1926 automo- bile licenses," said Mr. Lowder. "These will be distributed to any motorist calling for them, either personally, by telephone or letter. "If it is desired, the automobile owner may drop in at our office at 1722 Sherman avenue, and we will fill out the blank and put on the notarial seal. The application is then ready to forward to the secretary of state, ac- companied by check, draft or money order. Service is Free "It goes without saying that there is no charge for this service on the part of the club. We are organized to save motorists, and this is a part of our service. All are welcome to it." The club is prepared, Mr. Lowder further said, to supply not only the blanks upon which application for 1926 licenses for pleasure cars may be made, but for trucks, busses, trailers, tractors, motorcycles and other motor vehicles, as well as the forms upon which application is made for the change of license number from ong car to another, and for duplicate license number. In making application for a 1926 automobile license, it is necessary for the applicant to state the make of his car, the style of body, (roadster, touring car etc.) color, kind of power, (gas, steam or electric) the model, year built, serial and motor numbers, number of cylinders and their bore, the amount of horse power, the date of purchase of the machine, whether the «car has been registered previously in {llinois, and if so what the last year's number was, whether it has been reg- istered in another state, if so what date it was brought to Illinois. If the motorist will have this in- formation at hand when making out his application it will simplify the task of making it out. For the convenience of those who do not find it possible to call for their license application blanks during the day hours, Mr. Lowder has arranged to keep his office open until eight o'clock on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday evenings. On other nights the office closes about six o'clock. "We want every motorist in Ev- apston and all the other North Shore communities to feel free to come here for anything they wish in the way of automobile service," declared Mr. Lowder. "Our membership along the North Shore is increasing rapidly simply because we go the limit in help- ing the motorist. "Membership in the Illinois Automo- bile club means free towing and me- chanical first aid, free touring in- formation, free legal help, a really wonderful monthly magazine, state and nation-wide club afhliations, ab- solutely safe and reliable insurance at cost, and many other things."
