Before the first of the year it is ex- | pected that 20 of these schools will be in operation. Through their pains- taking instruction of mechanics, fore- men and proprietors of Chevrolet serv- ice stations the schools are assuring to every Chevrolet owner the highest degree of continued driving satisfac- tion. J. P. Little, manager of parts and service for the Chevrolet Motor com- pany, has joined and co-ordinated the field force of his service promotion division, with the service schools. Formerly the two were operated in- dependently. Now 75 men are en- gaged in the joint work of school in- struction and service promotion. Separate courses of one week each are given at the service schools for Chevrolet mechanics, service foremen and service station owners. The mechanics work under skilled instruc- tors in model shops. Using precision squipment, they are shown the quick- est and most efficient manner of doing all servicing operations. The course for service foremen is slightly more comprehensive, while that for service station owners goes into such details as shop layout, service department ad- ministration, maintenance of parts stocks, the flat rate system and account keeping. The service schools and the service promotion department work hand in hand. Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Weld of 983 Vine street have as their guest for a few weeks, Mr. Weld's mother, whose home is in Rock Island. | bride of Claude D. Bernice Galitz, the maid of honor, was dressed in pale green, and the bridesmaid, Louise Stephens, sister of the groom, was attired in peach color. The bride wore white with a tulle veil and carried a shower bouquet. The best man was Harold Stephens, brother of the groom, and the ushers were Raymond Stephens and Russell Johnson. Orian A. Golitz sang before and after the service. Immediately fol- lowing the ceremony there was a re- ception at the home of the bride for the family and intimate friends. ASSISTS AT DEBUT Mrs. Rosamond Coffin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Spaulding Coffin of Indian Hill, assisted at the debut of Miss Elizabeth Meysenburg, daugh- ter of Robert Carr Meysenburg of Chicago, which took place at the Fortnightly, Friday, November 20. Mrs. Edward F. Bayley was hostess at the tea during which she presented Miss Meysenburg to society.
