December 12, 1925 WINNETKA TALK Aids Sorority Mrs. Genevieve Brown Horween, 'cellist, who lives on the north shore, played Charles Wakefield Cad- man's Trio in D major with Mrs. Jernberg, violinist, and Mr. Cadman at the piano, at the Cadman recital at the Orrington hotel Friday. Mrs. Horween is a well known 'cellist and also a member of Sigma chapter of Mu Phi Epsilon of Northwestern uni- versity, for the benefit of the scholar- ship fund of which the Cadman concert was given. Mrs. Horween is a pupil of Hans Hess. Girls' Christmas Bazaar Brings $1,300 for Fund The Christmas bazaar staged by the Girls' club of New Trier High school last Saturday cleared $1,300, it was an- 'nounced this week. Members of the club were enthusiastic over the suc- cess of the affair. The proceeds will go to a fund which provides scholar- ships and loans money to needy pupils so that they may continue their school work and also contributes to various charities. The bazaar was held in the mess hall of the high school. There were numerous booths at which all kinds of articles were sold, a play was presented in the afternoon and eve- ning, tea was served, and there was dancing in the evening.
