As the public has made its decision in favor of a dramatic stock, Mr. El- liott has engaged Harry Minturn to direct a company of selected stars to open at the New Evanston theatre on the evening of December 27, with a complete change of production each and every week, giving a matinee, on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 2:30 p.m., and every evening at 8:30 p.m. Mr. Minturn has just returned from New York after selecting his cast for the New Evanston theatre, as he knows from past experience just what the north shore public demands. The New Evanston theatre will be closed from December 19, to Decem- ber 26, to allow workmen to get every- thing in readiness for the opening on the evening of December 27. Mr. Minturn wishes to state that it is a great pleasure for him to return to Evanston as he has many dear friends there and looks forward to a very en- joyable season.
