Thistlethwaite is to leave Northwestern and become head foot- ball coach at the University of Wiscon- sin. This became definitely known yesterday when reports from Madison and a statemen: from the Wildcats' coach confirmed a | rumor that has been prevalent for several days. Some days ago | it was announced | that the Wisconsin regents had au- | thorized George Little, athletic di- | rector who has also been coaching foot- ball, to employ a head coach for the gridiron sport. Ne- gotiations between Little and Thistlethwaite were immedi- ately concluded but necessarily awaited approval of the regents before the an- nouncement of yesterday.
