Luncheon Mrs. Roy L. Arey, 929 Tower road, was chairman of arrangements for the Founders' day program, luncheon and meeting of P. E. O. at which the Oak Park chapter, B. I. acted as hostess to more than five hundred guests yes- terday in the Cameo room of the Mor- rison hotel P. E. O. was founded January 21, 1869 at Towa Wesleyan college, Mount Pleasant, Towa by seven of the col- lege girls. One of the founders, Mrs. Mary Allen Stafford of Muscatine, Towa, was guest of honor at the Chi- cago luncheon. The sorority with a present member- ship of 40,000, not necessarily college women, stresses educational aid in its work. With an education loan fund of $358,158, on November 1 the organiza- tion reported that 1167 girls had made use of the fund since the founding of the society. A very active chapter has been organized in Winnetka. "Preciousness of Jesus" Will be Sermon Subject Rev. A. E. Rohrbach, pastor of the First Scandinavian Evangelical church, announces as his sermon topic next Sunday evening at 7:45 "The Preci- ousness of Jesus." The sermon will be in English. Last Sunday evening Mr. Rohrbach's pulpit was occupied by Dr. E. Michelson, of Chicago, a former well known Jewish criminal lawyer, who spoke on his experience of having been converted to the Christian faith and who said he is now "working for the advancement of his own people." The audience which greeted Dr. Mich- elson completely filled the church. TEACHERS GIVE PARTY A winter sports party for all of the teachers of the Winnetka schools was held at the Indian Hill Country club, Monday afternoon, under the direction of Mrs. Hobart Young, general so- cial chairman, and about 20 members of the various P. T. A's. About 95 Winnetka teachers were present and greatly enjoyed the skating, toboggan- ing and other events. Tea was served by the hostesses. Mr. and Mrs. Harold J. Bohnen of 724 Center street have been receiving the congratulations of their friends upon the birth of a daughter at St. Francis hospital Monday, January 17.
