He said that during the season about 145 men go out for the sport and they are divided into two major squads, of 35 each, the balance being sent to play on class teams. There is an inter-class series of games, he explained, the winner of which plays the inter-class champions at Yale. Freshman football is a sep- arate organization, he said, a series being played between the dormitory teams and also with the Yale Fresh- men. The whole system is a unit with flexible interchange and advancement of players. "Times have changed since the old days," said Coach Horween, empha- sizing the fact that it is how you play the game, and not the winning that counts now. The biggest factor in getting a good team, is self-discipline on the part of the individual players, he declared.
