February 26, 1927 WINNETKA TALK P.T.A's of Four Schools Will Hear Clara Judson Talk Clara Ingraham Judson is to speak before the joint meeting of the Par- ent-Teacher organizations in the four Winnetka public schools, Tuesday night, March 1, at 8:15 o'clock. Miss Judson has just completed the publication of her twenty-ninth book for children. She has a remarkable record of having published 6,000 mag- azine articles. In addition to her lit- erary work, Miss Judson was asked by the treasury department of the United States government, shortly after the war, to speak throughout the country, against profiteers. It was her task to teach people intelli- gent buying. Later, the department of justice of the United States govern- ment asked her to discuss the same problems through the country. Miss Judson is an authority on home-building, and was the chief speaker at the American Home exhi- bit at Des Moines, Towa. She is very anxious to have questions put to her and is just as anxious to answer these questions, along the line of allow- ances for children, budgets, and allied topics. A slight change in program for the Institute of Government which is to be conducted by Northwestern univer- sity, in co-operation with the Illinois League of Women Voters, is an- nounced by the committee. Course IV on International Relations, taking place at 3 o'clock, has been rearranged as follows: "Raw Materials in World Politics" will be discussed Friday. "Chemistry in World Affairs" will be discussed Wednesday. "Inter-American Problems in the Foreign Policy of the United States" will be discussed Thursday. Margaret Helke and Albin Eberlein Married Saturday The marriage of Miss Margaret Helke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Helke of 372 Grove street, Glen- coe, to Albin Eberlein of Northbrook, son of Mr. and Mrs. August Eberlein, took place, Saturday, February 19, at 3 o'clock, at the Trinity Lutheran church. Rev. L. Nauss, pastor of the Trinity Lutheran church performed the ceremony. Mrs. Ben Helke of Highland Park, the bride's sister-in-law, and Miss Clara Helke of 346 Grove street, Glen- coe, the bride's cousin attended her. Arthur Eberline, the groom's brother, acted as best man and Ben Helke, the bride's brother, served as an usher. Following the ceremony, the fifty guests were served in the basement of the church. Mr. Eberlein and his bride are plan- ning to make their future home at Northbrook, on the Dundee road, with Mr. Eberlein's parents. Women Voters to Discuss State Legislature Monday The second session of the Study Class of the Winnetka League of Women Voters will meet Monday morning, at 10:30 o'clock in the Camp Fire room of the Community House. The hour of meeting has been changed to accommodate those attending the card party for Onward Neighborhood. The study for the day will be "The State Legislature," presented by Mrs. Milton Stern and Mrs. S. Westerfeld. "The Work of the State Legislature" is to be taken up by Mrs. Carrie B. Prouty. "Legislative Sessions" will be discussed by Mrs. R. S. Childs. The hostesses for the luncheon, which follows, will be Mrs. Eugene A. Rummler, Mrs. R. F. Feagans, and Mrs. H. D.
