hd Ar ay) February 26, 1927 WINNETKA TALK 41 The Diary of "E. Z. LIFE" Wintering at DAVENPORT, FLORIDA HOLLY HILL INN, DAVENPORT, FLORIDA I have been telling you about my wonderful visit at Davenport, and above is the picture of the Holly Hill Inn at Davenport, as it stands today, where I have made my home and head- quarters. I am not exaggerating a bit when I say that in all my trips in this country and abroad, I have not found a single hotel that suits me bet- ter than this one. Further I will say, and I have a number of my friends to back me up, that no- where have I found a place where the guests are more congenial and sociable. Every minute of my visit here has been the height of delight. I have thoroughly enjoyed myself and Mrs. Life joins me in this statement, as well as other of our friends who are now here. From the moment I open my eyes to greet the bright sunshine, until I close them with the moon casting its rays into my comfortable room, I find the most that I desire in rest, recreation, health, sport, companionship, hospitality, and comfort. I have basked in the sunshine on the long, wide veranda at the Inn. I have played day and evening on the recreation center of the Inn, where there is a croquet court, shuffleboards, and putting green. I have played on the Holly Hill Golf Course, the most wonderful course in Florida to my way of thinking, and equal to many of our best northern courses. 1 have bowled on the new lawn bowling green. I have motored for miles over the paved highways of central Florida. I have driven through the Holly Hill Groves, up one hill and down an- other. I have picked oranges and grapefruit from my own grove. I have played bridge in the evening with delightful people from various parts of the country. All of this I have en- joyed to my heart's content. I can ask no more. I am thoroughly "sold" on Davenport, the Holly Hill Inn, the Holly Hill Groves, the Holly Hill Golf Course, and above all, on Florida it- self, its climate, and its wonderful resources. When I recommend the Holly Hill Inn and - Davenport to you, I do so with a profound feel- ing that you will enjoy it as much as Mrs. Life and I have, and it is now up to you to make reservations and come here yourself. See for yourself. Convince yourself. Come now. For rates and reservations, write or telephone WILLIAM G. COLVIN 709 Elmwood Avenue, Wilmette Phone Wilmette 1149 CHICAGO OFFICE, 58 E.
