Ale March 5, 1927 WINNETKA TALK 23 OPEN SEASON TICKET SALE FOR GRID GAMES Northwestern University Alumni and Patrons Given First Chance at Choice Seats Application blanks for the 1927 sea- son football tickets were mailed this week to 52,000 alumni and grid pa- trons of Northwestern university. The unprecedented demand for season tick- ets has caused university authorities to offer the application blanks at this early date. It is planned to sell 20,- 000 of the season books. Season tickets to next fall's games besides being one dollar cheaper than purchasing single tickets, give the hold- er the same seat at all six home games. Home games to be played by the Purple next fall are: October 1, Uni- versity of South Dakota; October 8, University of Utah; October 22, Uni- versity of Illinois; October 29, Univer- sity of Missouri; November 12, Uni- versity of Indiana; November 19, Uni- versity of Towa. Selection of Dick Hanley as North- western's new football leader has caused considerable interest to be manifested in the outlook for the Wildcats next fall. Coach Hanley's new style of football which he will bring into the conference has also been the cause for the desire of many to watch the 1927 edition of the Wild- cats in action. Coach Hanley will soon get under- way with spring football drill in which to a successful season next fall. He will be assisted at the start by Tim Lowry and Herb Steger, assistants under Thistlethwaite. Dyche stadium next fall will accom- modate 45000 persons of which 8,000 will be for students and several thous- and others for the use of visitine teams. This will leave 20,000 good seats available for season ticket orders. Orders received early will be given a prior choice. A brisk demand is an- ticipated for the season booklets and those desiring the pick of the seats are urged to get in their orders at once. All orders for season tickets are to be addressed to the ticket man- ager's office at 619 Clark street, Ev- anston. Troubadour Glee Club to Give Concert April 1 _An event of considerable importance to the Troubadour Glee club is to take place April 1 in Jane Kuppenheimer. Memorial hall, Skokie school, Win- netka, when this body of singers will appear in its first annual concert. The club came into existence about eigh- teen months ago, and except for one appearance, during National Music week, a few weeks ago broadcast over WBBM, it has not so far given the public an opportunity to hear it in con- cert. This opportunity will be given to the north shore public April 1, when the club will make its debut under the direction of John G. Gunn.
