Harriet is a north shore girl now living in Chicago. Musicians and critics agree that for the length of time Harriet has studied and for her age, her progress is remarkable. She plays the piano with a technical facil- |. ity and emotional response that many grown-ups would give a4 good deal to possess. Frederick M. Lynk, S.V.D,, chaplain of St. Francis hos- pital and editor of "The Christian Family," is busy preparing for a six months' trip to Kurope and the Orient. It will not be a pleasure tour but primarily a study trip. He will leave on the North Ger- man Lloyd steamer "Berlin," March 31, and after a brief sojourn in the mother house of the missionary so- ciety of the Divine Word, of which he is a member, in Holland, and a visit with some relatives in the Rhineland, he expects to motor through southern and eastern Germany and then visit England and Ireland, France, Spain Italy, Greece and Palestine and pos- sibly see also a bit of Turkey and the Balkan states. He has been engaged by several national magazines to write articles on forthcoming events in various parts of Europe. He has equipped himself with a portable typewriter, several cameras, and a cine-kodak, and hopes to make good use of all of them: During his absence, the Rev. Hadrman, S. V. D,, will take his place. Fr. Lynk HAYLOFTE TO BROADCAST In conjunction with Rosenberg's store the Haylofte will broadcast the dance music of Duke Bigelow's jazz orchestra over WBBM by remote con- trol. The broadcasting will be carried on intermittently between 7 and 1 each night, except Sunday and Monday. An- nouncement of the plans were made Tuesday by Frint George, owner of the Haylofte.
