Gathercoal, builder and real estate operator at 1213 Wilmette ave- nue, Wilmette, will be early on the market with two more residences which he is building on Seventeenth street, Wilmette. Mr. Gathercoal has aided materially in the rapid develop- ment which this street has experienced in the short time since it was laid out by Hoyt King. The two new homes of the Gather- coal design and construction will be ready about May 1, it is said, each priced around $17,000. They are of stucco on frame, two stories, and each has six rooms, one house being of the colonial type and the other English. There is a detached garage with each. One of the houses is located at No. 122 and the other at No. 123. BUILDS IN KENILWORTH A building permit has been issued by the Village of Kenilworth to W. H. Thayer, 618 Washington avenue, Wil- mette, for the erection of a two-story brick veneer residence with attached garage, costing $20,000, at 121 Robsart road, Kenilworth. The contract has been let to John H. Davies, local con- tractor. Frank L. Wolf Buys Sheridan Road House Hartman Brothers, Carl and Fred- erick, whose reputation as builders, in Wilmette, during the past few years invariably results in the sale of their houses before they are more than well under way, have maintained this record in their very latest venture. It is on Sheridan road, at the foot of Central avenue, Wilmette, on a lot 50x172 feet, where the Dutch colonial of solid brick which they are con- structing has been sold to Frank L. Wolfe, now residing at 346 Greenleaf avenue, Wilmette. The consideration is undisclosed, but it is said to be up- wards of $35,000. The house has six rooms, two porches, two baths, an oil burner heat- ing plant and electrical refrigeration. Both the house and the two-car garage have tile roofs. Smith and Brown, formerly Hill and Wheeler, of 334 Linden avenue, Wil- mette, were brokers. . Gilbert D. Johnson Firm Lists Deerfield Transfers Gilbert D. Johnson & Brother, real estate brokers, report several sales in Deerfield since the first of the year. Among them is the sale of Burr Hin- dahl's house on Osterman avenue to Julian E. Smith of Evanston: the sale of Lot 16, Brierhill subdivision, to Frank Shrader, who has already start- ed to build, and Lot 17, Brierhill sub- division, to S. Chester Danforth. Robert IL. Johnson of the same firm, who resides in Deerfield, negotiated these deals. He looks forward to a good year in Deerfield now that the town has all of the underground im- provements and the pavements are go- ing in rapidly.
