New Officers of Improvement As- sociation Chosen and Outline Their Plans The Indian Hill Improvement asso- ciation held the last meeting of the season, Monday evening of this week at which time officers for the ensuing year were elected. While this meeting, according to the by-laws, will be the last until next fall, at the same time, President W. S. Nerdburg, who heads the associa- tion for the coming year, wishes the residents of Indian Hill to bear in mind that at any time throughout the summer they should feel at liberty to call his attention to any matters which they deem of importance to the com- munity and need the attention of the association, whereupon he will gladly call a special session for their con- sideration. Mr. Nordburg, who was elected to head the association, served as secre- tary and treasurer for the past two years and is exceedingly well quali- fied for the new duties which he has assumed. Associated with him will be George Karnes, as vice-president and K. H. Hinrichs, as secretary-treasurer. Raclin, C. T. Davis and Henry R. Corbitt. The retiring president, Lee Walker, during whose administration so much valuable work has been accomplished, and during which time the association established a record of the largest number of contributing members in any one year, expressed his apprecia- tion and thanks to the officers and chairmen of the various committees for their loyal assistance. President Nordburg, in assuming his office, expresses the desire that the coming year may witness a rally oi all residents of the Indian Hill area to the membership of the association. These residents, he points out, have millions of dollars invested in homes, and every home owner should be vitally interested, not only in the pres- ent day development and progress of the community, but in its future growth, as well. "The future," President Nordburg says, "will be only what we make it." "This applies," he says, "to the en- tire Indian Hill section, whether it be east or west, north or south. The time has come in Indian Hill, when its expansion has reached the stages which is characteristic of every other north shore section, with the advan- tage somewhat in favor of Indian Hill over many of the neighboring com- munities, in that it yet has so much choice vacant for building develop- ment, and that it is one of the most compact and conveniently located resi- dential sections for transportation and educational advantages. "The Indian Hill Improvement asso- ciation was organized ten years ago, since which time it has faithfully aided in bringing that neighborhood up to its present high standard of physical development, and which should be to every resident sufficient evidence of the need of his support in the still greater problems along this line, prob- lems which confront every growing community." President Nordburg said it is his wish that he may be able to form a sort of cabinet, composed of repre- sentative home owners in every sec- tion of Indian Hill, from whom he may receive advice and counsel.
