me i -- May 7, 1927 WINNETKA TALK SCOUTS PLANT TREES North Shore Troops to Spend Day Planting Pine Seedlings Near Site of Forest Preserve Cabin Boy Scouts from the various troops of the north shore will meet at the Council Cabin west of Glencoe, now un- der construction, Saturday morning, May 7, at 10 o'clock, to plant 100 young seedlings. These pines are to be named after the various troops of the council. There will be "Troop No. 2 of Wil- mette's Trees," the "Trees of Troop 31 of Highland Park," "Trees of Troop 52 of Lake Bluff," etc. The name of "Camp Scout Haven" has been suggested for the cabin. Other names are being suggested by Scouts and friends. Several troops are con- ducting contests for the naming of the week-end camp. Although the logs are only up to six or seven feet high, and the date of de- dication of the cabin is not yet de- cided upon, many troops are hiking to the site and looking over the layout. They agree that it will become a regu- lar "Scout Haven."
