The sales de- partment has negotiated sale contracts in all three offices, Chicago, Evanston and Winnetka, from April 30, 1927, totaling $1,011,366.66, it is announced. The properties sold include homes in Evanston, Wilmette, Winnetka, and Glencoe, apartment sites in Evanston and investment properties of various types in Chicago and Evanston. The renting and property manage- ment department has had a very ac- tive renting season in both renewals and anew leases of apartments and commercial properties, it is reported. The insurance department also -has had its share of activity in the hand- ling of various forms of insurance and particularly in additional business in tornado insurance due to the recent an unusually busy period from Janu- ary 1 to April 30, 1927, showing an high winds. The loan and investment has had increase of 139% over the same period last year, which was also an active season. Evanston Families Purchase Plots in Indian Hill Estate H. W. Bills of Bills' Realty, Inc, reports two additional sales in Indian Hill Estates for the current week. Mr. and Mrs. William M. McKnight of 73872 Hinman avenue, Evanston, and Mr. aid Mrs. Marley Halvorsen of 811 Judson avenue, Iivanston, have purchased together two lawns, both facing each other, with a total depth of 406 feet, the frontawe of which property is in excess of 100 feet. The two lawns join together at the end of Iroquois lane in Indian Hill Estates. Mrs. McKnight and Mrs. Halvor- sen are twin sisters and the two fam- ilies plan construction of two large homes of harmonious English design, to be completed and ready for occu- pancy by early autumn. Hokanson & Jenks, Inc., Announce Sale of Homes Mr. and Mrs. Henry G. Prosser, 645 Judson avenue, Evanston, have pur- chased from Benjamin F. Clifford the frame residence at 801 Lake avenue, southwest corner of 8th street, Wil- mette. They are planning a consider- able amount of remodeling so they will not be able to move into their new home until the first of August. They have, however, sold their Ev- anston home to Mr. and Mrs. D. O. Welty, Jr., who are moving in im- mediately. These two sales were made by Thomas S. Hodgson and Dewitt Stillman of Hokanson & Jenks, Inc. No prices were disclosed. Mr. and Mrs. Wheaten Augur, of Evanston have purchased through Mrs. Alice Skinner. Winnetka repre- sentative of Hokanson & Jenks, Inc, the white clapboard home of Andrew S. Clark. This property adjoins the Indian Hill Golf club. SELL WILMETTE HOME Mr. and Mrs. Vance F. Foster have sold their residence at 1526 Highland avenue, Wilmette, to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Calvert. Mr. and Mrs. Foster have taken an apartment in North Ev- anston Manor. The eleventh annual convention of the Illinois Association of Real Estate boards will be held in East St. Louis October 6, 7 and 8, 1927, it was an- nounced this week at headquarters of the state .association.
