May 7, 1927 WINNETKA TALK 51 Mouat-Flaherty, Newest Wilmette Realty Concern Andrew J. Mouat of Wilmette and Robert H. Flaherty of Evanston have established the north shore's newest real estate brokerage concern, bearing the title Mouat and Flaherty, Inc, with offices at 1177 Wilmette avenue, in the Rockhold building, Wilmette. The Wilmette office is a branch of the downtown office of the firm, which is located at 35 N. Dearborn street. Mouat and Flaherty, Inc., will en- gage in a general real estate business, including investments, loans and in- surance. The Wilmette office will also serve as headquarters for Mr. Mouat's extensive home-building enterprise. Mr. Mouat, whose home is at 616 IL.ake avenue, has been a builder in Chicago and vicinity for many years. More recently he has been devoting most of his time to home-building ac- tivities in the Kenilworth Gardens district. Mr. Flaherty has experienced fif- teen years in the Chicago real estate field. Recently he has been associated with the House and Garden magazine in New York. Legion Men to Discuss Memorial Day Observance Wilmette Post No. 46 of the Amer- ican Legion will hold its regular May meeting in the Club House of St. Augustine's Episcopal church Tuesday evening, May 10, at 8:15 o'clock. The post will discuss matters relative to Poppy Days and the community ob- servance of Memorial Day. ISSUE BUILDING PERMIT A building permit has been issued by the Village of Kenilworth to the William Salmen Construction company for the construction of a two story brick veneer residence with two car detached brick garage, at 315 War- wick road. The project is to cost approximately $19,500 and is to be sold upon completion. Johnston Co., Announces Realty Deals in Wilmette Phillip S. Hill of 416 Briar place, Chicago, has purchased the eight-room home at 735 Eighth street, Wilmette, from F. B. Ahara. Hokanson & Jenks represented the buyer and R. M. Johnston the seller. Thomas H. West of 1027 Central avenue, Wilmette, has bought the eight-room stucco home at 723 Ash- land avenue, Wilmette, from Emma F. Clasgens. The Wests took possession last week. R. M. Johnston and com- pany represented both buyer and sell- er. E. C. Trowbridge of O'Mara and Ormsbee, newspaper representatives, has rented the new eight-room Eng- lish brick home built by William Sal- men at 826 Forest avenue, Wilmette, on a three year lease. Mrs. Trow- bridge and son have been spending the winter in San Diego, Cal., and will ar- rive the middle of this month when the family will take possession of the house. R. M.
