AT CHESTNUT Phone WINNETKA 762 | overcoming a five-run lead in | eighth inning of last Sunday's battle, Winnetka Loses to Waukegan; Takes on Glencoe Tomorrow After making a valiant effort and the the Winnetka nine succumbed in the ninth and allowed the Waukegan Bugles to walk off with the major share of the collection. Faulty pitch- ing with men on the bases proved the undoing of the locals. Luchessi started to twirl for Winnetka but proved ineffective, and Miller shoul- dered the task after the third inning pitching well until Waukegan's wild jamboree in the ninth. The Bugles started off in the first with a shower of base hits, grabbing a lead which they held until the eighth inning. After one down in the eighth, Runnfeldt singled, Paletti was hit by a pitched ball, and Thomas singled to fill the bases. Rudolph then stepped up and whaled a double to deep right center clearing the bags. He scored a moment later on Heinsen's double, but the round ended when Miller and Brown rolled out. Next Sunday the rejuvenated Glen- coe team will make its appearance on the home lot. Such stars as "Money" Rudolph, "Bill" Schroeder, Hohlfelder, and Hooper, will make their debut in Glencoe uniforms, so it is well to say that no set-up game awaits the locals tomorrow. Coach Aschenback, of New Trier High school will do the hurling for Winnetka. OJII[@.S][[[IE]]] clolllelollleolll edsliicio ficial collicollicolll allio] xl ANNOUNCI The Senior Doine public today.
