This is the first district meeting of the Civil Legion in Cook county. District No. 1 includes all of Cook county, north of Central street, Evanston, and includes the villages of Winnetka, Glencoe, Hubbard Woods, Kenilworth, Wilmette, Glenview, Northbrook, Arlington Heights and other villages within the above boun- daries. All citizens of the District eligible to membership in the Civil Legion are invited to attend this meet- ing. Women are invited also. Officers will be elected and other necessary business transacted. Seventy-six members are already enrolled in District No. 1 of the Civil Legion. The Civil Legion is a national or- ganization composed of those who served in authorized civil capacities during the Word War. To its mem- bers it is what the American Legion is to ex-soldiers. Mrs. J. P. Fleming of 787 Foxdale avenue leaves today for Pittsburgh.
