Through the asso- ciations there it is hoped that a closer bond of fellowship with the Swiss and Italian educators will be achieved. The true meaning of freedom in ed- ucation will be the principal theme of the conference and it is the prime aim to discover the "Art of Freedom," both for the child and the teacher, as it is contended that new methods and many theories are useless in education if the teacher himself has not attained a measure of inner freedom. FKEduca- tors from all over the world of inter- national fame will comprise the speak- ers at the conference. The teachers attending the confer- ence from Winnetka are Beatrice H. Hayes, Greeley school; Marion El- well, acting principal of the Horace Mann school; Luella Swartz, Florence Fake, Rose Danberg, Catherine Smith, Ruth E.
