Six of the eighteen members of the faculty will attend the World conference on edu- cation which will be held in Locarno, Switzerland. Three others will teach the Winnetka system of individual instruction in educational institutions of the United States; while the re- mainder will utilize the vacation period for divers purposes. The Europe bound mentors of edu- cation are Miss Luella Swartz, Miss Rose Damberg, Miss Ruth Damberg, Miss Anna Cox, Miss Margaret Cars- well and Miss Marion Carswell. Miss Marion Carswell is the principal of the school. Mrs. Mildred Hughes will demon- strate the Winnetka system at the Colorado State Teachers college in Greeley, Colorado, and will later travel in the west. Miss Ella Marie Kamplin will leave within the next few days for her home in South Dakota. Miss Ethel VanCleve will be among those enjoying the beaches of the north shore. Miss Frieda Barnett will teach in the summer session of the local schools. Classes will be held every morning from 9 o'clock to 12 for children in all grades from first to eighth and will be conducted upon the regular plan of Winnetka individual instruction. They will be confined to the fundamental subjects.
