The story herewith presented explains how shrewd judgment "made" the North Shore Golf club. By RAY C. PEARSON I golf clubs of the north shore, or in fact any other district, required advertising to assure success, the North Shore Golf club, possessor of a beautiful clubhouse and an equally beauti- ful course, probably would play as its big "line" in bold face type this informatory : "North Shore--A club estab- lished on sound judgment." "Sound judgment" -- nothing original, or particularly catchy about it. "But that's getting a little ahead of the story. Some little time before we sold, some of our "navigators" had spot- ted a plot of farm land on the bend of Glenview road just this side of Wau- kegan road. They got inquisitive and discovered that another golf club, a big one in Chicago, held an option on the land.
