warn July 30, 1927 WINNETKA TALK North Shore Line Official Buys Big Glencoe Property Charles E. Thompson vice-president of Chicago North and Mil- waukee railroad, has just purchased, through McGuire & Orr the new resi- dence at 961 Bluff road, Skokie Heights at a consideration of $50,000. The grounds have a street frontage of 230 feet. The house is of Spanish de- sign of brick with tile roof, contains ten rooms with four baths, and attach- ed two-car garage. Mr. Thompson has long been a resident of the north shore, owning a home in Wilmette, which he now occupies, and contem- plates moving into his new home very shortly. Skokie Heights is experiencing quite a little building activity now. Walter J. McGuire is constructing a new brick and stone residence at 1020 Bluff road, which will cost nearly $50,000. Thomas I. Simpson is constructing a new brick residence at 974 Eastwood road, having recently sold his home at 1026 Eastwood road to James A. Campbell, formerly of Evanston, who has already taken possession.
