PEARSON Rudy Knepper of Onwentsia, who has been shooting great golf this sea- son, stepped over to the Westmoreland Knepper's effort and his score for the first eighteen holes of the tourney was 71. Another guest, Al Seckel of River- side, the same Al Seckel, who a few years ago cut quite a swath in Chicago golf, came back to land second place in the play for low gross honors. Seckel turned in a 74 card. A. C. Perry, of the home club, the only entrant who already has two legs on the trophy for which three wins are necessary for permanent posses- sion, tied for third place with F.
