This last week before school begins saw the climax of the junior tennis season at the club with the playing of the junior championship tournament. Armstrong of Glencoe Is Elected to Vice-Presidency of North Shore Postmasters' Association The Lake County and North Shore Postmasters' association, whose mem- bers include postmasters from Evans- ton to Waukegan and also in adjacent villages west, held its first fall meet- ing at the Winnetka postoffice, Wed- nesday evening, following a dinner at Tuck A Way tearoom. In addition to the discussion of sub- jects of interest to those engaged in this department of Uncle Sam's labors, the association elected officers for the ensuing year and talked over plans for various other sessions which will be held throughout the coming winter. The following officers were elected : Joseph L. Przyborski, North Chi- cago, president; Percy W. Armstrong, Glencoe, vice-president; E. E. Ells- worth, Libertyville, secretary-treasurer. The retiring officers are: Joseph E. Shantz, Wilmette, president; Joseph I. Przyborski, North Chicago, vice- president; Miss Bessie McTammany, Fort Sheridan, secretary-treasurer. The next meeting of the association will be held at North Chicago, Oc- tober 11. PLEASURE CLUB DANCE The Scandinavian Pleasure club will hold its monthly dance on September 10, 1927 at the Odd Fellows hall, 1215 Wilmette avenue, Wilmette. Harold Anderson's orchestra will furnish the music. Mr. and Mrs. Merritt Lum and fam- ily, of 672 Lincoln avenue, have re- turned to their home from a summer in the East, where they spent much of their time at Lake Placid, N. Y. appliances.
