Bride of Today One of the large and beautiful wed- dings of the summer will be that taking place Saturday evening, September 10, at Christ church, Winnetka, when Miss Marion Fulton becomes the bride of Lawrence BeBout, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard BeBout of Loudenville, Ohio. The Rev. E. Ashley Gerhard will read the marriage service at 8:30 o'clock, and immediately after the ceremony a reception will be held in the garden of the home of the bride's father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Frank David Fulton, 884 Hill road, Winnetka. Miss Olga Menn will sing twice during the wedding, at 8:15 o'clock, and again just before the wedding party enters. Dr. Ellis Chase will be at the organ. The bride is wearing ivory satin with a veil of rare old lace and she will carry a shower bouquet of gar- denias and lilies of the valley. Her maid of honor, her sister, Miss Helen, and her matron of honor, her cousin, Mrs. George E. Snyder, and the bridesmaids, Miss Betty Schwartz, Miss Louise Shriver, Miss Helen An- derson, and Miss Jane Hawley, and the flower girls, Marjorie McNie and Margaret Cobb, will be gowned in three shades of peach. The bridal attendants will carry shower bouquets of fall flowers and the two flower girls will carry sheaths of larkspur and gladioli. Miss Marjorie McNie enter- Eva May Johnson Still Is Golf Champion at Skokie The woman's golf championship at Skokie club remains with Miss Eva May Johnson of Winnetka again this year. Miss Johnson defeated Mrs. Paul Chace of Giencoe in the final round played off last Saturday morning. Mrs. Ernest P. Bartlett of Winnetka was winner of the second flight, with Mrs. W. R. Watson of Highland Park, runner-up. Mrs. G. N. Tunnell of Glencoe won the third flight champion- ship, by defeating Mrs. Merritt H. Dement of Kenilworth. Mrs. B. B. Clover of Glencoe won the non quali- fiers flight, with Mrs. S. P. Carson of Glencoe runner-up. At the time of going to press the consolation flight was still to be played, with the con- test between Miss Florence McGuire and Mrs. George Schnur. Friday's match at Skokie was a best ball foursome. Jane Naugle Guest at Prenuptial Parties Among the parties given in honor of Miss Jane Naugle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Archibald T. Naugle of Chi- cago, prior to her marriage to Billings McArthur, son of Dr. and Mrs. Lewis L. McArthur of Chicago, were the luncheon and matinee party given by Mrs. Willing D. Kirk Wednesday, the luncheon given by Mrs. Alba J. Irvin of Chicago on Thursday, and the luncheon at the Blackstone yesterday with Mrs. Raymond Carleton Dudley of Winnetka the hostess. : The marriage service will be read on September 15, in St. Chrysostom's church, in the presence of only a few intimate friends and relatives. A small reception will follow at the Naugle apartment. The Naugle family left Winnetka recently after a summer's stay. To Tell of Experiences in China at Church Tea The Woman's society of the Win- netka Congregational church is to be hostess at a tea given in honor of Mrs. Paul Reynolds at the home of Mrs. Frank Ferry, 391 Sheridan road, from 2:30 until 5 o'clock on Wednesday, September 21. Mr. and Mrs. Reynolds have recent- ly returned from the missionary fields of China, and are spending the week beginning September 19, with friends in Winnetka. The members of the church and the society will have an opportunity at this tea to hear Mrs. Reynolds tell of their experiences during the very critical times in China, tales which should be of great interest to everyone. Gives Drive The year of 1927-28 for the Winnet- ka Parent-Teacher association opened Thursday of this week when the social chairmen of the association, accom- panied by a few of the mothers, were hostesses to the twenty-eight new teachers for a drive around the village and the north shore. After the drive, the group returned to the home of Mrs. Hobart P. Young, 708 Prospect avenue, for tea. tained the entire wedding party at luncheon at her home in Winnetka Thursday, and in the evening George Snyder was host at a dinner at the Edgewater Beach hotel for the bridal party.
