November 5, 1927 WINNETKA TALK Winnetka Policeman Dies When His Gun | Fires by Accident Patrolman Dudley C. Everett, of the Winnetka police department, acciden- tally shot himself Fridav night of last week inflicting a wound from which he died a few hours later. The accident occurred at his home, 786 Foxdale avenue. Mr. Everett, | who was retiring, was_in the act of placing his revolver under the pillow | of his bed when it was accidentally dis- charged. The bullet entered his body about an inch below the heart. A coroner's inquest was held at the Frederick E. Lewis and company, fun- eral parlors, 1124 Central avenue, Wil- mette, Monday morning. Mr. Everett was 41 years of age and | a veteran of the World war. He is survived by his widow and three chil- dren.
