November 26, 1927 WINNETKA TALK Arrange Benefit Bridge to Boost Girls' Club Fund (Contributed) Every girl at New Trier High school is a member of the Girls' club. One of the main objects of this club is to fur- nish financial assistance 'to deserving young women, to enable them to se- cure a college education and in some cases their education at New Trier. This year the club is giving a benefit bridge party, to raise funds, and re- placing the customary annual bazaar. It is a new venture, and the girls are most anxious to make it a success. The Mess hall and all the available space around it, including the teachers' balcony and even the stage will be used for table space. Prizes will be given for each table, and a few high score prizes will add interest to the game. The prizes for high score have been donated by the Woman Teachers' club, a new organization this year at New Trier. The party will commence at 2 o'clock, and continue until 4:30. At that time the doors will be open to the general public who are interested in the food sale. Delicious pies, cakes and puddings will be sold. As this is a benefit bridge, refresh- ments will be sold at a moderate price. The reception committee will see that tables are secured by those who desire them. Single places may also be pro- cured. We urge all our friends to come and help us in this most deserving work. We offer you a pleasant afternoon, and interesting prizes; also the rare opportunity of buying some of the most delicious food imaginable.
