Dr. Stewart Outlines Anglo-Catholic Move Speaking to the Craig club of Northwestern university at its meeting in Harris hall last week, the Rev. George Craig Stewart, rector of St. Luke's Episcopal church, Evanston, outlined the history of the Anglo-Cath- olic movement in the Church of Eng- land. "It has passed," 'he said, "through the successive stages of scholarship, ritualism and intense social service, and now has entered upon a period of deep philosophy and devotion." In dealing with the future of the movement, Dr. Stewart said that any religion which was to live must be suf- ficiently catholic in its appeal to reach the whole of a man's nature. "It must have," he affirmed, "aesthetics in its ritual, music that will grip the soul; it must afford man union with God through mysticism, and it must appeal to his reason with a coherent theology. It must also have the concept of man as a social being, one's self, God and one's fellowmen." Mr. and Mrs. William A. Otis of 644 Oak street are leaving today for the West. They will go out by way of New Orleans and will be with their | daughter, Louise, in Tucson, Ariz, until she has her Christmas vacation from the University of Arizona.
