Mothers of Cub Scouts Guests of | Troop at Meeting Members of the Cub Scout troop, sponsored. by the club Vista del Lago, [ held a "sweetheart" meeting at Teatro | del Lago, where the troop is meeting | during the winter months, last Satur- day morning. Over 50 mothers of boys enrolled in the organization were pres- | ent and viewed the program which was participated in by the 73 members of the troop and in the course of which two silk flags were presented to the organization and eight "cubs" re- ceived medals for excellence in honor and athletics. Louis C. Simmel, executive secre- tary of Vista del Lago and director of the troop, presided over the pro- gram. A large silk American flag was presented to the boys by Samuel Meyer, manager of Teatro del Lago, as a gift from the theater, and a silk troop flag, featuring the colors red and green in a design conceived by Mrs. Howard Lind, godmother of the troop, was presented to them by Howard J. Cunningham. The medals were awarded to the following boys: Jervese Barnhill, Teddy Lendt, Andrew Russo, Billy Roger Carleton Crawford, Louis Simmel, Jr., Crowe, Foster Gilgif, Ross.
