The Golden Text was from John 4:24, "God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirt and in truth." Among the citations which com- prised the Lesson-Sermon was the fol- lowing from the Bible: "Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bon- dage This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh" (Galatians 5:1, 16). Evanston took every first place but one in the senior meet, and all in the junior. Second honors were pretty well scattered, while New Trier held on to most of the third places. Wilson of Evanston took both the 40 and 100 yard swims from Captain Bennett of New Trier. Fitch and Coolidge of the invaders both came in ahead of Rogers--the single New Trier entrant--in the 220 yard swim. Lindberg of the Wildkits took the 60 yard backstroke in a close race from his team-mate Bowman and from Read of the green-and-grey aggrega- tion. The diving went to Granstrom of New Trier, whose teammate, En- chelmeyer, captured second place. The relay went to Evanston, when the Ev- anston men completed the eight lengths in 1:23 3-5, almost five seconds better than the average New Trier time. Holmes, with two first places, starred for the invading juniors. Summaries: Senior 40 yard swim--1. Wilson (E.), 2. Eisner (B.), 3. Bennett (N. T.). Time: :20 1-5. 100 yard swim--1. Wilson (E.), 2.
