This is part of an organization of women which was formed in 1889 and incorporated one year later. At that time one nurse was employed, while in 1928, the or- ganization employes a superintendent, an assistant superintendent, cleven supervisors, 120 graduate nurses, and twelve student nurses. These nurses care for the sick in their own homes, each nurse paying several calls daily. The organization has sources of in- come from public subscriptions, gifts and endowments, a fund in the Metro- politan Life Insurance campauy, and from junior memberships. Apart from the nine men who form the board of an advisory committee for financial plans, this well estab- lished organization is composed entire- ly of women. The board of directors is composed of forty-two women, who have charge of the business plans. The auxiliary membership is limited to seventy-five members and about twelve associate members. Within this auxili- ary are the various sub-committees in charge of the carrying on of its volunteer work. The board of directors of the North Shore Art league held a meeting on Thursday of last week to discuss plans for the coming exhibition, which is to be held at the Orrington hotel in April. Miss Ashton Wilson of Fayetteville, N. C. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles R. Wilson of that city, who made her debut with Miss Virginia Wallace, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter F. Wallace of 815 Mt. Pleasant road, is at the Orrington hotel, Ev- anston visiting the daughter of the Ralph D. Hubbarts, Miss Mattibelle Hubbart. --_0-- Miss Edwina Cadmus, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. John H.
