Donald G. Shaw Dies Suddenly on Thursday Donald G. Shaw of 962 Pine street, Winnetka, passed away suddenly last Wednesday at his home at the age of 32 years. Brief services were held from the Lewis Funeral parlors in Wil- mette on Thursday, following which the remains were taken to Columbus, Ohio, his home, previous to his resi- dence in Winnetka, for services and burial. Mr. Shaw was the brother of Gordon Shaw and the step-son of Vic- tor C. Moon, both of Winnetka. He is also survived by other relatives in Columbus. Miss Dorothy Kahn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Max Kahn, of 1125 Gage ave- nue, Hubbard Woods, is returning on March 21, from Smith college to spend her two weeks' spring vacation with her family, HEP Mrs. George W. Gordon, 874 Lin- coln avenue, left last week for New York, to visit her daughter, Janet, who is attending Smith college. She does not know how long she will remain there. High School Girls Hear About Junior Colleges Miss Coates, of the Sarah Lawrence Junior college, addressed the junior and senior girls of New Trier during adviser period Thursday, March 15. She told them of the many advantages of a junior college and spoke of Sarah Lawrence college in particular. After her address girls who were interested in attending Sarah Lawrence were allowed to have conferences with her, to discuss their problems. The school endeavors to have as many colleges as possible covered during the year, to help out the students in deciding the difficult question of where to go after graduation. Mr. and Mrs. F. R. Byrum, 791 Walden road, entertained at a family dinner party Sunday, March 4, in celebration of Mr. Byrum's birthday. Men's Class Will Discuss Bruce Barton's New Book A recent book of importance in the field of religion, Bruce Barton's "What Can We Believe," will form the basis of discussion for the Men's class of Winnetka Congregational church next Sunday miorning, March 18. William A. Hadley will open the meeting with a review and comments on some of the salient features of the book. The class meets at 9:30 in the American Legion room of Community House.
