"Swede" Winberg to Captain Grid Squad at Kemper Howard "Swede" Winberg, the best full-back in Kemper football history, according to the News, official paper of Kemper Military school, Boone- ville, Mo., has just been honored with the captaincy of the school's football team for 1928. Kemper"s team the past year again emblazoned its name high up on the honor roll in gridiron events, the great Culver Military school team being numbered among its vic- tims. In all of these games "Swede" Winberg played a stellar part. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Win- berg of 905 Greenleaf avenue, Wil- mette. Winberg, who is also one of the star wrestlers at Kemper, further distin- guished himself recently by mastering "Stan" Stanley, the famous -contor- tionist and physical expert, in an ex- hibition at the school, testing their strength and prowess. Stanley, following his address on phy- sical culture, asked that six of the strongest and heaviest cadets in school apply holds on him while upon his back, after which he attempted to escape from them. He broke loose from four of them, but Winberg and Ed Thompson, another cadet, stayed with him until he admitted defeat. %670 %-Ton Commercial *895 1.Ton G-Boy $1245 1%-Ton $1595 6-cyl. 2-Ton Above Pri chassis f. 0. b.
