The cost of the fourteen residences is given as $206,350; the fourteen pri- vate garages, $5915; the seven addi- tions and alterations, $6,250; the six business and commercial buildings, $76,800. During the month of March a year ago, there were only twelve permits issued, all of which were for residences, and the total cost of which was only $144,500, far less than one-half that of March this year.
