There were thirty-two en- trants in the contest and elimination contests had been held two weeks previous to the final contest. The prize is two-fold. The Cable people awarded her a Mason and Ham- lin grand piano and the Society of American Musicians will sponsor' a debut recital for her in Chicago in about three weeks. Miss Manchester is a Kappa Delta at Northwestern but finds time to take charge of the singing and rhythm classes in the Montessori school in Winnetka.
